Die Rallye Dakar ist ein Rallye-Raid-Wettbewerb, der als die bedeutendste Langstrecken- und Wüstenrallye der Welt gilt. Sie wurde von 1978 bis 2007 einmal jährlich hauptsächlich auf dem afrikanischen Kontinent ausgetragen. Im Jahr 2008 wurde die Rallye Dakar aufgrund einer Terrordrohung abgesagt. Von 2009 bis 2019 wurde sie aus Sicherheitsgründen in Südamerika durchgeführt. Seit 2020 findet die Rallye in Saudi-Arabien statt.

The Dakar Rally is a rally-raid competition that is considered the most important endurance and desert rally in the world. It was held once a year from 1978 to 2007, mainly on the African continent. In 2008, the Dakar Rally was canceled due to a terrorist threat. From 2009 to 2019 it was carried out in South America for security reasons. The rally has been taking place in Saudi Arabia since 2020.
